Here are some photos I took of the Hale-Bopp comet in 1997. These were all shot with my Minolta X-700 35mm SLR camera using my Minolta 50mm f/1.7 lens. They are all time exposures varying from 10 to 60 seconds. You will notice star "streaking" in the longer exposures. You will also notice some "zippers" from passing planes. I had the negatives scanned to a Kodak Photo CD at Meteor Photo & Imaging. I converted the PCD format images to JPEG at 768 x 512 x 24 bits using VuePrint from Hamrick Software. These black and white images were all shot on Kodak T-Max 400 film. This first set of 25 black and white images was shot on March 22, 1997 at my sister's farm in Memphis MI. These color images were all shot on Fuji Super G Plus 800 film. This first set of 9 color images was shot at my sister in law's farm in Yale, MI. This second set of 26 color images was shot at Algonac State Park in Algonac MI.
